Any program that has cows in it must be good...right?

CDox is a program used to create CD covers, booklets, backs etc. for CD cases.  The only difference between this one, and most of the other programs that do the same this, is that this one is FREE!  And I like free. ;-)

Inserting Tracks
This has to be the coolest feature of CDox.  You can tell the program to look in a certain folder, and it will take the names of all the files in the folder, and import them into the program.  This means you don't have to insert any tracks manually into the program!

What This Program Does and Does Not Do
The major disappointment in this program, is that you cannot design backgrounds in the program itself.  The main purpose of this program is to automatically take care of sizing of the CD covers and tracks.  So if you are looking for a program where you can design a background in the program itself, keep looking.  However, you can easily change any text, and or add your own text, so you don't need to have your text on the background itself.

Problems
The main thing that bugs me about this program is that it is slow sometimes.  I have noticed that sometimes, I end up waiting like 10 seconds for a simple operation to take place.  However, other than that, I noticed no other problems, except for the poor documentation.

There was one thing I was a tad disappointed in, however, and that is the fact that you cannot create CD covers for the CDs themselves, just the CD cases.  Then again, creating CD covers with paper doesn't always work that well anyways.

What's the deal with the cow?
Everyone loves cows....well, most people do.  Anyways, the cow in the corner is actually a status indicator.  When it is green, nothing is processing, and when it is red, something is processing.  As for the cow sounds, they are just there for fun.  Of course, if you don't like them you can turn them off...I personally like the cow sounds though ;-)

In conclusion, this is one great free program for anyone who wants to make some quick covers for their homemade CD's.  It may not have everything, but you can't expect too much for free.
