     So you have a site on some free server and you want to have that chat or message board on your site, but you then find out that your free server does not allow CGI, PHP, etc.!  Now you are stuck with using that icky looking board from that other free company that has tons of ads.  Well, there is another option...

     Dk3.com offers a number of website goodies such as a discussion board, chat, and  .dk3.com sub domains.  The 2 things you will probably be most interested in are the discussion board and the chat.  First let's talk a little bit about their discussion board.

     Now the coolest thing about this board is that it is based on PHPBB Board 2, which is what I use for my message board.  There are some limitations however.  In the admin panel it looks just like the PHPBB board's admin panel, but with fewer options.  So you won't be able to backup your board.  Which is a real bummer especially if you plan to some day actually install PHPBB board on a server.  Now here is the best part.  There are no banner ads except for a tiny little bit of text at the bottom of the page that says it is hosted by dk3.com.  There is, unfortunately, a pop-under ad, but it loads after the page loads and isn't that annoying.  What do you get for free now a days anyways?  One final thing I will say about the board is that there is a decent number of styles you can choose from for your board.  Not just the default one.

     Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the chat.  Well, unfortunately, I can't recommend the chat.  For some reason it just won't load and I have been waiting a while.  If you need a chat, thou, you can try www.bravenet.com .  They are pretty good, but their message board is not that great.

     So in conclusion, the only things you may want on this site is the message board and the .dk3.com sub domain.  The other stuff doesn't seem to be as great.  The only reason I gave this site a 4 out of 5 stars is because it has the best free hosted message board I have seen so far.

     OK, I will make this quick...  The site loads fast and is easy to navigate.  You probably won't have any problems waiting for it to load or trying to find what you want.  Also, if you really want my opinion, the colors aren't that bad either;-)
